On Wed., May 20th, 8 artists from the Silicon Valley came together, and lit up the Pearl Night Club with their energy and their art. Our winning celebrity artist who will represent Silicon Valley at the National Show in Las Vegas is Mariya Milovidova, whose goal is to create art that everyone can enjoy, and San Jose loved her art including a dress fashioned of flu masks, body paintings, and canvas works. The runner up was Derty Kevin, who instills the impulse of a graffiti artist into his professional commercial artist work today. Nick Giannini, was the true performing visual artist of the night, as the crowd was mesmerized by his live work. The hottest artist on the scene was Armo Art, with his ambitious goal to have his work displayed in largest open spaces possible, and he’s making it a reality with his art to be displayed on the Freemont Street Experience in Las Vegas. The artist who traveled the furthest, and brought the most color, is professional and registered Mariana Island Artist, Marconi Calindo.
Ilana Davis is living the dream, at the age of seven she decided that working with clay made her happy, and she has fullfilled her dream with her amazing works of art. The most traveled celebrity artist is Josh Edelson, his goal is to be able to travel the world photographing every step of the way. Steve Rodgers rounds out our celebrity artists of the evening and although only his butterfly work of art, would be described as happy, the autobiographical paintings of gang members he recalls from his childhood growing up in the Jordon Downs in LA, provide the stark contrast to happy art.
